Manufacturing Engineer
SisTech Manufacturing, LLC. | Bend, Oregon | Full-Time, On-Site
About SisTech
SisTech Manufacturing is a growing electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and PCB assembly company based in Bend, Oregon. We serve defense, medical, and commercial customers with high-quality, precision manufacturing. We’re a tight-knit team where everyone’s work directly shapes the quality and reputation of what we build. If you like variety, ownership, and seeing the direct impact of your skills on every board that goes out the door, you’ll fit right in here.
The Role
We’re adding a Manufacturing Engineer to our team to help lead our assembly and test operations—including programming a state-of-the-art flying probe test system we’ve just brought on board. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who knows their way around PCB assembly, enjoys solving technical problems, and wants to help build out processes as we grow.
A note on qualifications: we care far more about what you can do than what’s on your diploma. A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is great, but hands-on experience in PCB assembly, test, or manufacturing engineering is just as valuable to us — if you’ve learned this trade on the floor, we want to hear from you. Strong preference will be given to candidates with first-hand experience with programming and running a flying probe. Preference will be given to candidates with first-hand experience programming automated production or test equipment.
What You’ll Do
• Program, operate, and train others to operate our new flying probe test system
• Understand and assist with programming selective solder and AOI (automated optical inspection) machines
• Troubleshoot complex circuits in printed circuit board assemblies, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise
• Lead and motivate a skilled team, helping set the standard for quality and keeping the group focused on meeting delivery commitments
• Cross-train with other key team members and leadership to facilitate the spread of skills and knowledge
• Develop standard work instructions and train new team members on machines and processes
What We’re Looking For
• Experience with PCB assembly processes, electronics manufacturing, or a related field
• Comfort with—or eagerness to learn—programming of manufacturing, test, and inspection equipment (flying probe, AOI, selective solder)
• Strong troubleshooting instincts—you like figuring out why something isn’t working and how to fix it
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating the work of others is a plus
• Comfort in ambiguity—as part of a small team, you’ll wear a lot of hats, and be expected to solve tough problems with limited resources, we’re looking for someone with a no job is too big, or too small, mentality
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field OR equivalent hands-on experience (typically several years in a comparable manufacturing/technical role)
